Overview

Luminary is Singapore's first AI-powered enrichment center for children ages 6-10. Not screen time. A place for creation, community, and curiosity, while teaching the most important skills of our time.

Children arrive with ideas, construct physical models using clay and blocks, use AI to translate those creations into visuals, and then experience their worlds projected around them at full scale across six reconfigurable zones in a 4,000 sq ft purpose-built space.

The Situation

Education has become disconnected. Schools optimize for standardized outcomes, not imagination. Children are tested on recall, not creation. The result is a generation fluent in consumption but illiterate in world-building.

Meanwhile, AI fluency is becoming cognitive infrastructure, not just a skill to learn. Children who grow up creating with AI will think differently than those who merely consume it.

The gap between what education could be and what it is represents one of the largest untapped opportunities in human development.

The Experience

Every session follows an 8-step journey from arrival to artifact, co-led by a human facilitator and an AI companion across six physical zones.

The 8-Step Journey

Children arrive, name an AI companion, choose a world seed, describe and visualize their world, explore and share with peers, change one thing to see ripple effects, reflect with a human facilitator, and leave with a printed world card artifact.

Each session builds systems thinking, creative confidence, AI fluency, and structured reasoning.

Six Reconfigurable Zones

Think (reading nooks with projected starscapes), Explore (interactive floor with reactive visuals), Create (clay, blocks, drawing materials), Collab (amphitheater for show and tell), Experience (room-scale immersive projection), and Reflect (quiet pods for journaling).

The entire environment reconfigures 3-5 times per session. Children move the furniture themselves.

Weekend workshops across generations, corporate innovation experiences, and heritage preservation for adults reconstructing ancestral worlds.

Two Guides, One Journey

Every session is co-led by a human facilitator and an AI companion with distinct, complementary roles.

Human Facilitator

Creates a safe, exciting environment. Guides reflection through questioning. Encourages peer collaboration. Reads the room and adjusts the experience in real time.

AI Companion

Visualizes ideas instantly. Asks clarifying questions to sharpen thinking. Simulates consequences of choices. Remembers preferences and adapts over time.

The Handoff Principle

Human leads at start (orientation, environment setting). AI leads during creation (visualization, simulation, adaptation). Human leads at reflection (meaning-making, facilitation). The human leads the parts AI cannot do.

Modular by Design

Every component is designed as a standalone product: reproducible, shippable, and scalable. The same modular system works in the enrichment center, a home playroom, or a franchise location.

Sculptural Pods

Curved plywood, felt-lined, seating 4-6 children. Embedded screens for AI interaction. Lightweight and stackable.

Craft Tables & Surfaces

Solid wood, child-height, on casters. Mobile enough for children to reconfigure the space themselves.

Projection Infrastructure

Ceiling-mounted projector rails are the only permanent fixture. Every surface becomes a canvas. Spatial audio and reactive environmental controls complete the immersion.
